Woman’s Body Found Next to Freeway
Caltrans workers Wednesday discovered the naked body of a woman beside the northbound San Diego Freeway in Long Beach, close to the Wardlow Road overpass, police said.
The body was found on a dirt embankment about 1:15 p.m. as workers cleared debris from the side of the freeway, Long Beach Police Sgt. Steve Filippini said. As of Wednesday evening, police did not know who the woman was or how she died.
Police closed two freeway lanes as homicide investigators examined the area.
