Super Bowl of Love
If you’re looking for a romantic Valentine’s Day getaway that won’t break the bank, well, you won’t find it in L.A.
This, according to “America’s Most Lovable Cities” survey, which found Denver to be the most lovable to one’s wallet.
For $268 there, you and your main squeeze can get a three-course meal at a four-star restaurant, a weekend at a high-end hotel, two glasses of house wine at a popular piano bar, two gourmet cappuccinos at a coffeehouse and a bottle of Dom Perignon-quality champagne. Oops, we almost forgot the one dozen long-stemmed red roses.
In L.A., all this would cost you $424 in the annual survey conducted by the dating service Great Expectations.
Some other Golden State cities: Sacramento ($350), Encino ($406), San Diego ($465), San Francisco ($505).
And the most expensive city for the rendezvous? Chicago at $677. Sometimes love hurts.
