Kim Omer

Esperanza, Junior;Basketball

While teammate Leah Combs was busy breaking the school’s all-time career scoring record, Omer actually outscored Combs for the week, averaging 17 points in three victories. Omer had 15 points, seven steals and six assists in a 64-34 victory over Los Alamitos and had 26 points, including five three-pointers, in a 57-43 victory over Ocean View.

* Sonora, sophomore. Scored tying and game-winning goals in 2-1 overtime victory over Troy and scored twice in 4-0 victory over Buena Park. She has scored goals in all six league games this season.

Andrea Griffith/Water Polo

* Esperanza, senior. Scored three goals in the championship game of the Katella tournament, a 7-5 victory over Katella.

* Esperanza, senior. Scored three goals as team posted first two league victories. Scored once in a 2-0 victory over No. 4 Los Alamitos.
