Re the “Beatts Me!” column, “The Amore, the Merrier” (Jan. 25): Not only does Italian furniture excel over others, but could you sell me the next French Ferrari?
Anne Beatts has a lot to learn, especially in the movie biz. For the best actors in the world, you’re looking at Italy.
She’s right about the Italian restaurants. You won’t find a decent town without one.
And I don’t think you could find a bad Italian lover. If the Italian population is getting smaller, like she says, it just means that everyone is becoming half-Italian because spouses are of some other background.
