Castaneda to Open ’98 Lecture Series

Columnist, author and political advisor Jorge Castaneda will speak at Cal State Fullerton on Feb. 23.
Castaneda, a professor of economics and international affairs at the National Autonomous University of Mexico since 1978, has advised the Mexican government on foreign policy and was a senior associate of the Carnegie Institute for International Peace in Washington. He is a regular columnist for the Los Angeles Times and other newspapers worldwide. “Che Guevara” is the latest of six books written by Castaneda.
His visit is the first in the 1998 University Lecture Series. The free lecture will be at Mackey Auditorium in the university’s Ruby Gerontology Center, 800 N. State College Blvd. Information: (714) 278- 3731.
