Saddleback Wins Theater Awards
Saddleback College has received four Drama-Logue awards this month for outstanding achievement in theater.
Drama-Logue, a Los Angeles-based trade newspaper for actors and theater workers, honored the college for its 20th anniversary season production of “42nd Street” in the following categories: production, direction, musical director and choreography.
The trade newspaper’s 15 writers award honors to shows they have reviewed the previous year. Geof English, the producer of the show and director of the school’s performing arts program, was honored for best production. Teacher Beth Hansen was awarded for her direction. D.J. Gray was honored for her choreography and Lee Kreter as the musical director.
The awards ceremony was held at the Pasadena Playhouse.
