Group Sets Meeting on Farmland Issues
A newly formed group seeking a growth-control measure on the Simi Valley ballot will hold its first public meeting at 6:30 p.m. today at the Sun Oaks Club House, 1825 Sun Tree Lane in Simi Valley.
The Simi Valley group is an offshoot of a countywide group known as Save Our Agricultural Resources, or SOAR. The larger organization will send several representatives to the meeting to answer questions on how the group is helping to shape the future of Simi Valley and Ventura County.
The group also will outline its goals and enlist volunteers for petitioning campaigns and fund-raising.
For information on the meeting and SOAR’s activities, call Jon Palo, 522-8024.
