Columbus Extends Home Win Streak by Beating Seattle
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Valerie Still scored 17 points and Sonja Tate had 16 as the Columbus Quest defeated the Seattle Reign, 90-77, Wednesday in front of an announced 2,885.
Columbus extended its ABL-record home winning streak to 19 consecutive games.
Katie Smith and Tonya Edwards each scored 14 points for the Quest, while Shannon Johnson had 13.
Kate Starbird led Seattle with 15 points, and Val Whiting had 12.
Columbus, which shot 53% from the field, pulled away in the third quarter by outscoring the Reign 30-17. The Quest took a 27-point lead, its biggest of the game, on Angie Potthoff’s jumper with 8:40 left in the fourth quarter.
Seattle closed the game with a 23-9 run.
The Reign had broken the Quest’s ABL-record 13-game winning streak with a 74-62 win last weekend in Seattle.
