On Monday, Thomas Gould will become the second executive director of the Costa Mesa Senior Center in a year.
Although he starts the job next week, Gould, 61, will be introduced Saturday at the center’s Evening in Monte Carlo fund-raiser.
He replaces Rita Redaelli-Stenlund, who recently resigned after six months on the job to take a position with C.J. Segerstrom & Sons, owners of South Coast Plaza, officials said.
She will work in the marketing departments for the mall and other branches of the company.
The new director, who lives in Costa Mesa, previously worked as an executive with United Way of Orange County and headed his own music company.
His new responsibilities include working with the board of directors on fund-raising, enhancing the center’s visibility and improving programs.
The Costa Mesa Senior Center is the only private, nonprofit senior center in Orange County.
The casino fund-raiser begins at 7 p.m., 695 W. 19th St. Tickets are $25.
Information: (714) 645-2356.
