3 Die, 8 Injured in Palmdale Crash
At least three people were killed and eight others injured in a three-vehicle, head-on collision in Palmdale late Sunday, authorities said.
Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials said the accident occurred at 8:13 p.m., when one of the vehicles struck another head-on. The accident occurred on a four-lane, divided stretch of Sierra Highway at Avenue 0-8.
At least two people were airlifted to local hospitals. Others were taken by ambulance to Antelope Valley Hospital Medical Center, officials said.
Authorities were unable to identify the dead and injured late Sunday, as they continued to investigate the cause of the accident.
