Anthrax Case

Re “Anthrax Case Accusations Against 2 Men Dropped,” Feb. 24: Threaten bank employees with an unloaded gun or show up at an airport with an unloaded gun and you are in big trouble. But threaten that you can kill everyone in a city the size of Las Vegas with anthrax and the charges are dropped.

Where are our priorities?

So, it turns out that what was thought to be deadly anthrax was in reality a harmless vaccine. Perhaps we should ask whether an innocent scientist was put through 48 hours of hell in order to bring home to the American public the horrors of biological warfare on the eve of a U.S. military operation justified by Saddam Hussein’s possession of these weapons.

I’m sure it wouldn’t be the first time the FBI did a favor for the Pentagon or the CIA, nor the first time innocent people were ground up in the propaganda mill.
