Saddleback Is Set to Determine Cunerty’s Replacement in Football
Saddleback expects to fill its football head coaching position Monday, Athletic Director Keith Calkins said Friday.
The new coach will come from within the staff because union rules prevent the college from opening up the position Bill Cunerty left for health reasons after three seasons.
Leading candidates to replace Cunerty are Dick Stuetz, the defensive line coach who has been on the staff since 1969, and Bob Urell, an offensive line coach for the last three seasons.
