Downtown to Open Major Buildings in ’98
From the arts to law enforcement, Mayor Miguel A. Pulido Jr. is looking to open a number of high-profile buildings in 1998.
The list includes the Ronald Reagan Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in downtown Santa Ana. The opening had been delayed a year, in part because of problems obtaining marble from Italy.
Pulido said the courthouse will act as a bridge to other, nearby government buildings.
Also scheduled for 1998 is the opening of the first phase of the Discovery Science Center interactive museum, which will be distinguished by a 117-foot-high cube visible from the Santa Ana Freeway.
