Arkansas Track Assistant Hired as UCI Assistant

Jim Dan Hootegem has been hired as an assistant coach for the men’s and women’s track teams at UC Irvine, Coach Vince O’Boyle said.

Hootegem, 29, was an assistant at Arkansas last year, helping the Razorbacks win the men’s national title. He previously was an assistant at Texas Pan American.

Hootegem will work with the sprinters and hurdlers, and then assist with the cross-country team in the fall.
