Lakers Need to Take a Big Step Forward
How much longer can the Lakers play with Robert Horry and Rick Fox as starters? Horry is no Dennis Rodman and cannot be afforded the luxury of scoring one point. Fox has made me wonder why the Lakers signed him instead of Jerome Kersey.
But isn’t it the job of the coaching staff to make adjustments? Wouldn’t it be appropriate to tell the players who are shooting poorly from the three-point line to do something different? I know, I know. The Lakers have the second-best record in basketball. But with losses to Seattle, Portland, Miami and Chicago, they have also lost twice to the 76ers, once to Golden State and at home to Boston. What excuse will Del Harris have if they lose to Denver?

Despite an all-star center and three all-star guards, the Lakers are in second place and look horrible at times. That must say a lot about their two forwards, their coach or all three of them.
