Miscikowski to Speak at Residents Meeting

Los Angeles Councilwoman Cindy Miscikowski is scheduled to speak about effective participation in city government during the Studio City Residents Assn. meeting Tuesday.
Her appearance is part of a continuing program featuring Los Angeles leaders at the association’s monthly meetings.
Other topics expected to be discussed at the meeting include an update on the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s study of the construction and operation of the Universal City station at Weddington Park.
The group also will consider future action regarding McDonald’s announcement that it is not interested in developing a fast-food restaurant at the southwest corner of Moorpark Street and Coldwater Canyon Avenue.
Los Angeles Police Department Senior Lead Officer John Caprarelli will present an update on crime and safety in Studio City.
He will also discuss ways to help prevent summertime burglaries.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the CBS Studio Center, 4024 Radford Ave.
