Matheny Is Back With Brewers

Catcher Mike Matheny is back in the Milwaukee Brewers’ lineup but not on a full-time basis.

Earlier Monday, Matheny was activated from the disabled list, where he had been since June 15 because of a strained rib cage muscle. Manager Phil Garner said rookie Bobby Hughes had played well enough in Matheny’s absence to platoon the two the rest of the season.
