Spotlight: CDs Take Advertising a Step Further
- Share via
CD/CD-ROM manufacturer Musica is rolling out promotional discs at Tower Records in another example of using technology to push the borders of advertising. The enhanced CDs contain songs, video clips and links to Web sites. Entertainment companies and site owners pay Los Angeles-based Musica to advertise on the disc, which will be free with the purchase of any rock or pop CD at Tower stores. The first is sponsored by New Line Cinema to promote the upcoming Wesley Snipes film “Blade.”
