Hycor Biomedical Inc.: The Garden Grove medical diagnostic products company lost $228,000, or 3 cents a share, in the second quarter, compared with a net loss of $54,000, or 1 cent a share, for the corresponding period last year. Revenue dropped 4% to $4.7 million from $4.9 million. The first-half loss rose to $420,000, or 6 cents a share, from a $197,000 deficit, or 3 cents a share, a year earlier. Revenue declined 1% to $9.3 million from $9.4 million. The company said sales were down primarily because of a delay in launching a new product.
