FRANKLY SPEAKING
Much has been said about Frank Sinatra since his recent passing, but we, the American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers (ASMAC), want to add our voice.
Frank was always a good friend of music arrangers. He never performed at a concert or a TV show without giving credit to the arranger of the song he sang.
ASMAC has established scholarships in the names of Nelson Riddle, Don Costa and Gordon Jenkins. All three worked for Frank, as did many of our board members. We can all testify as to Frank’s generosity in appreciation of music arrangers, and for this we owe him our gratitude.
