CLEVELAND — Two adults and 10 teenage students were injured Friday when scaffolding collapsed at a college where a high school band was practicing, a spokeswoman for the college said.
Bluffton College spokeswoman Sara Kisseberth said the band from Vandalia-Butler High School was rehearsing pregame and halftime routines when the scaffolding collapsed.
She said the band’s director, Don Donett, suffered injuries to his lower back and had a finger partially amputated. He was taken by helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
The rest of the injured were taken to local hospitals.
