It amazes me that at the end of the 20th century televangelist Pat Robertson can continue his hate campaign against the gay and lesbian community by threatening the city of Orlando for supporting sexual diversity with the wrath of his God (June 10). Robertson warns that his God may send hurricanes, earthquakes, terrorist bombs “and possibly a meteor” as, I suppose, punishment. The delusional Robertson might just as well suggest that his God send in Godzilla, too. Can’t we provide help for people like him?

So if Orlando is not hit by hurricanes, earthquakes, terrorist bombs or a meteor, does that mean that God approves of homo- sexuality?

Robertson is a vicious, despicable person. He preaches a religion of hatred, exclusion, racism and homophobia. It is impossible to imagine that he is a Christian minister.
