EastGroup Properties, a real estate investment trust based in Jackson, Miss., has paid $22.5 million for a 572,000-square-foot distribution building formerly occupied by Carrier Corp. in Industry, according to Dan Sibson, real estate manager for Los Angeles-based Investment Development Services, who represented EastGroup in the acquisition. The building is on 32 acres of land at 875-937 Azusa Ave. David Hasbrouck and Stuart Milligan of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller, CSER IDC of Denver.
* Santa Monica-based Sandstone Property Management Co. has purchased the 87,000-square-foot Del Rosa Plaza shopping center at 1605-1643 E. Highland Ave. in San Bernardino for $10 million from Del Rosa Plaza Ltd., according to Greg Sackler of Westmac Commercial Brokerage Co., who represented Sandstone. David Lachoff of Grubb & Ellis Co.’s West Los Angeles office represented the seller.
* Sarang Presbyterian Church and the California Department of Transportation have acquired 9.9 and 3.9 acres, respectively, of a 13.8-acre site on North Brookhurst Street at La Palma Avenue in Anaheim, reported Clyde Stauff of Seeley Co. who represented Brunswick Corp., the seller of the properties. Sarang paid $4.4 million for its portion, where it will convert a 100,000-square-foot manufacturing plant into church facilities. Caltrans paid $2.2 million for its portion, which it will use for the Santa Ana Freeway.
