XTRA 690 Makes Deal With USC

USC and XTRA 690 have agreed to a three-year deal for the San Diego radio station to broadcast all Trojan football and basketball games.

USC will produce the broadcasts, hire the announcers and sell most of the advertising. The station will produce promotional programming and sell some of the advertising.

USC Athletic Director Mike Garrett said the announcers will be named in the near future.

Football announcers Larry Kahn and Mike Lamb are not expected to be back. Kahn and Lamb also packaged and produced the broadcasts the last three seasons. KMPC carried Trojan football for one year, KLSX-FM for the last two.
