Re “Gay Minister Resigns From Presbyterians,” Feb. 27.

As a friend of Joe McGowan, and a member of St. Stephen, I was relieved to see Joe’s case was brought to your attention. Joe had done nothing but good for our church, and we are all angry and ashamed at what the Presbytery has done.

Our prayers are with Joe in this difficult time. We will all miss him very much. Thank you for bringing this to light.
