SCC Women Open NAIA With Rockhurst

The Southern California College women’s basketball team will play ninth-seeded Rockhurst of Kansas City, Mo., in the first round of the NAIA tournament in Jackson, Tenn., next Thursday. First-round games begin Wednesday and the final is March 24.
Rockhurst (22-5) finished the season ranked 12th in the nation. SCC (29-5) is ranked 25th in the nation and defeated Concordia, 80-69, in the Golden State Athletic Conference tournament final Wednesday.

Bullfrog owner Maury Silver announced that his Anaheim-based roller hockey team will join Major League Roller Hockey, the league confirmed Thursday.
MLRH has 16 teams in the U.S. and Canada and six teams in the United Kingdom. The season is scheduled to begin June 20 with the championship game tentatively scheduled for Aug. 30.
