March 22: Talk on “California’s Ceanothus” by David Fross, 1-3 p.m., at Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden, Claremont, 1500 N. College Ave., Claremont, (909) 625-8767. $5, with reservations required. There will also be a guided walk to see native ceanothus in bloom, from 10 a.m.-noon. It too costs $5, with reservations required.
