Pioneer Day to Feature Exhibits, Music, Food
Pioneer Day, commemorating settlers of the area that became Orange County, will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at historic George Key Ranch in Placentia.
Activities will include historical exhibits, music, reenactments, an open house, craft vendors, food and entertainment.
Officials said the event was designed to honor such Orange County pioneers as George and Mary Key, who bought 20 acres of ranchland in 1893 and planted a Valencia orange grove. Their ranch house, which remains intact along with a portion of the original grove, was built in 1898.
Admission to the event is $3 for adults and $2 for children. The ranch is at 625 W. Bastanchury Road.
