Police Put St. Paddy Revelers on Notice
In anticipation of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, the California Highway Patrol will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in Sunset Beach tonight.
Officers will operate the checkpoint from 9:30 p.m to 3:30 a.m.
The Brea Police Department will deploy four additional officers today, also in anticipation of drunk drivers.
The officers will begin patrolling Brea and Yorba Linda late this afternoon.
Authorities urged celebrants to have a designated driver or call a cab if they plan to drink.
