Notes

Transfers have helped bolster the lineups of some of the county’s top teams. Corona del Mar added Parker Collins, a section doubles champion in 1996, from La Canada. Woodbridge will be helped by the addition of sophomore Jonathan Sheridan from Mexico. Dana Hills has added Jon Lippert from Aliso Niguel and Javier Carrillo from Venezuela. Mission Viejo will have Cam Akturk and Leandro D’Agostini, exchange students from Turkey and Brazil. . . . Los Alamitos is coming off a 19-2 season, but the Griffins should be even better this year with a singles lineup of Cody Jackson, freshman Drew Hoskins and senior Ed Huang. Hoskins was ranked second in Southern California in the 14s and should be one of the top freshman in the county. . . . Corona del Mar has two outstanding freshman, Hunter Jack and Brian Morton. Morton beat Hoskins in three sets for the Ojai boys’ 14 title last year.
