Asian Concert to Help Establish Symphony
A concert of traditional Asian music and other international selections will be given Saturday at Westminster’s Civic Center.
Proceeds from the event, co-sponsored by the Asian American Senior Citizens Center and the Westminster Cultural Arts Commission, will be used to help establish a chamber symphony for the city’s Foundation for the Arts.
One of the featured groups will be the Lac Hong Dancers and the Lac Hong Youth Performers, who use the monostring, 36-string dulcimer, 16-string zither and other unusual instruments. Other performers will play a variety of traditional and contemporary Vietnamese music.
Tickets are $5, $3 for children and seniors.
For information or tickets: (714) 898-3311 Ext. 562, or (714) 531-0177.
