2 Men Are Slain Outside Nightclub After Argument
Two men were shot to death after gunfire erupted outside a La Puente nightclub early Tuesday.
The incident ignited shortly before 2 a.m. in the parking lot of the A M Hacienda nightclub on Old Valley Boulevard after security guards ejected two groups of men from the club for arguing.
“At least one of several suspects drew a handgun, striking the victims in the upper body,” Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Bob Killeen said. Both victims died at the scene, he said.
Later, authorities questioned four men whose car was stopped on the Pomona Freeway in Ontario, Kileen said, but no one was arrested.
One of the men had been shot in the leg and was taken to a Chino hospital for treatment, Kileen said. Authorities said they suspect the wounded man was shot by a security guard at the nightclub.
