GB, Rally’s to Pair Up
IRVINE — Green Burrito parent GB Foods Corp. said Thursday it will pair up with a Rally’s restaurant in Los Angeles to sell its Mexican food alongside Rally’s hamburgers. The restaurant, on Venice Boulevard, will offer a limited menu of Green Burrito items and will be operated by Carl’s Jr. parent CKE Enterprises, which owns stakes in both GB and Rally’s.
The experiment, designed to improve sales at the Rally’s location, will last one year. If successful, it will be expanded to other Rally’s restaurants. Green Burrito has paired up with Carl’s Jr. restaurants throughout Southern California, usually resulting in double-digit sales increases.
