What a great idea: handing the ambient-global collaborations of Pakistani qawwal Nusrat and Canadian producer Brook over to such young Anglo Asian dance club figures as Talvin Singh and Asian Dub Foundation. But even more than the hit-or-miss original collaborations, these nine drum ‘n’ bass remixes rarely enhance the transcendent magic of Nusrat’s art.
