Deregulation of Power Industry to Be Discussed
The Redondo Beach City Council has scheduled a special meeting tonight to educate residents and business owners about how deregulation of the electricity industry will affect them.
The city has invited the Public Utilities Commission, Southern California Edison and several other energy providers to discuss their role in the changing industry. The city also will update residents on the status of the Edison plant in the city, which was recently sold.
The meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 415 Diamond St.
