City Line Hotline Is a Hit With Residents
- Share via
More than 2,300 residents last month used Cerritos’ new City Line to obtain recorded information about 350 topics, officials said.
Callers spent more than 100 hours on the system to learn about various subjects such as schools, transportation, zoning, recreation, public safety and animal control.
The most frequently called messages included what to do about barking dogs, the kinds of pets allowed in Cerritos, how to obtain passports, employment opportunities, and how to schedule pickups of bulky trash.
To phone City Line, residents can call (562) 916-8466 to get a list of topics. The phone line, which was started in March, operates seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
