Bishop Diego 23, Oak Park 20--Pat Dobson’s 24-yard field goal with 3:16 to play gave the Cardinals (2-6, 1-2) a Tri-Valley League victory at Santa Barbara City College.
Nate Elder of Oak Park (4-4, 0-2), which lost its 15th consecutive league game, completed 16 of 38 passes for 208 yards and a touchdown. Elder’s 10-yard touchdown pass to Zach Schwartz with 6:44 to play in the first half gave the Eagles a 10-7 lead.
Oak Park trailed, 14-10, four minutes into the second half when Marc Gallagher of Bishop Diego intercepted a pass and returned it 86 yards for a touchdown. The Eagles fought back for a 20-20 tie with 10:45 to play on a 29-yard field goal by Jesse Nicassio and a five-yard touchdown run by Zach Schwartz.
Flintridge Prep 33, Webb 14--J.P. Blecksmith passed for three touchdowns and returned a kickoff for a score for the Rebels (5-3, 1-2) in a Prep League game at St. Francis High.
Blecksmith, who completed five of 10 passes for 145 yards, connected with Peter Twist for scoring plays of 71 and 38 yards. After Webb closed to 20-14 late in the third quarter, Blecksmith took a kickoff 96 yards for a score.
Devin Brown scored on a nine-yard run and caught a 14-yard touchdown pass for Flintridge Prep.
