Healthy Eating on the Run
Maybe work was enough to drive you postal today, and now you’ve got half an hour to pick up the kids from school. One needs to get to soccer practice and the other to piano lessons, and you need to somehow fit in something resembling food. What will you do? You could make like President Clinton and become a walking commercial for a hamburger joint. But you don’t have to. Low-fat, healthful and tasty meals on the run can include:
* Bagels and English muffins, not doughnuts or muffins.
* Salad or a baked potato, not fries. But watch the high-fat toppings.
* Fresh fruit instead of chips.
* Water, not soda. (Do we really need to tell you how many glasses to drink? OK, eight.)
