To make it easier to attract new tenants, the City Council is considering an ordinance that would allow more flexibility with the types of signs and businesses allowed at the Buena Park Mall and the adjacent, vacant Handyman site.

City planning manager Jay Saltzberg said the proposal would allow businesses more creativity with signs. Saltzberg added that the ordinance would permit tune-up or mini-lube businesses into the area. The new ordinance would also allow offices to have Internet sites for auto sales, he said.
