* Max Macias Ramirez; Automobile Salvager
Max Macias Ramirez died Monday at his home in Ventura following a brief illness. He was 74.
Ramirez was born April 21, 1924, in San Fernando. He was a self-employed truck and automobile salvager and he lived in Ventura County for 52 years.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carlotta Ramirez of Ventura; two sons, Max Ramirez Jr. of Coming and Jimmy Ramirez of Ventura; two daughters, Gloria Krcha of Ventura and Susie Hernandez of Smith River in Del Norte County; four sisters, Theresa Guerrero of Oxnard and Margarita Madrid, Carmen Leon and Delores Ramirez Rivera, all of San Jose; four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ventura and will be led by Rev. Larry Dowdel . Burial will follow at Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery in Oxnard.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the TLC Home Hospice or Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church.
Camino del Sol Memorial Center & Funeral Home in Oxnard is handling the arrangements.
