Burroughs 26, Burbank 21--The Indians scored on three of their first four possessions and withstood a late Burbank challenge at Burroughs.

Junior quarterback Joe Kroells completed 10 of 20 passes for 281 yards and four touchdowns--three to receiver Kyle Cremarosa.

Burbank’s Alan Gutierrez rushed for 160 yards and a touchdown in 31 carries but left the game early in the fourth quarter because of leg cramps.

Burroughs (4-6, 1-4) needed only three plays to take a 7-0 lead after Burbank (1-9, 0-5) tried an unsuccessful onside kick to begin the game. Kroell passed 38 yards to Brian Criscuolo for a touchdown.

Burroughs increased its lead to 12-0 on its next possession on a 74-yard touchdown catch by Cremarosa.
