2 Men Shot, 1 Fatally, at Party in Pacoima

PACOIMA — Two men were shot, one of them fatally, at an outdoor party Friday night, police reported.
Christopher Gonzales of Sylmar was shot about 10 p.m. in the backyard of a home in the 10300 block of Kewen Avenue, according to a Los Angeles Police Department statement. Gonzales, 25, was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills, where he died from his wounds, authorities said.
Also shot was Rick Savala, 25, of Northridge. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.
The motive for the shooting is not known and no one has been arrested, the statement said.
