ANAHEIM
City Council members tentatively agreed to a four-year extension of the city’s cable franchise with Century Communications Corp.
Meanwhile, several residents complained to the council about increasing costs for cable television, technical problems and poor customer service.
The proposed extension agreement, expected to be approved Dec. 1, would give the city a $250,000 grant to enhance public information. Century also would allow the city the ability to broadcast nearly two dozen 30-second public service announcements each week.
