REVIVAL: St. John’s in the Valley Methodist Church, 20600 Roscoe Blvd., Winnetka, will hold a weekend of revival meetings with a Bible study at 4:30 p.m. today followed by dinner at 6 and a worship service at 7. THANKSGIVING MESSAGE: The Sepulveda Unitarian-Universalist Society, 9550 Haskell Ave., North Hills, will host “Thanksgiving: A Time for Grateful Sharing” at 10:45 a.m. Sunday. VESPER SERIES: St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, 15950 Chatsworth St., Granada Hills, will begin a new Bach Vesper service series at 7 p.m. Sunday. This third annual series of evening Vesper services will feature cantatas, motets and major vocal works by Bach. The majority of Bach’s cantatas are simple sermons set to music, usually centered around the Gospel. The series will continue on the last Sunday of each month through June 27, with the exception of Dec. 26. Free. Information: (818) 891-1759.
THANKSGIVING SERVICE: Panorama Presbyterian Church, 14201 Roscoe Blvd., Panorama City, will host a multidenominational Thanksgiving service with Valley Beth Israel Synagogue and St. Genevieve’s Catholic Church at 7:30 p.m. Monday. A special music program has been created for the service and children’s lessons will be provided. An offering of canned goods, toiletries and diapers to support Loaves and Fishes and Children of the Night will be accepted. The service will be followed by a reception featuring kosher treats. CHILDREN’S SHABBAT: Temple Beth Hillel, 12326 Riverside Drive, Valley Village, will host a Tot Shabbat from 7:15 to 7:45 p.m. Friday, featuring stories and songs specifically selected to appeal to toddlers and preschoolers. DEDICATION CEREMONY: Shomrei Torah Synagogue, 7353 Valley Circle Blvd., West Hills, will hold a special Thanksgiving service and dedication for the Permanent Sanctuary Ark at 8 p.m. Friday. The ark protects the sacred Torah scrolls. The outside of the ark depicts symbols and numerous representations of Jewish history. Information: (818) 346-0811.
