Thousands Expected at Alzheimer’s Walk
More than 5,000 walkers are expected to join former Los Angeles Rams quarterback Vince Ferragamo and Wild Wing, the Anaheim Mighty Ducks’ mascot, at the Irvine Spectrum today for the fifth annual Alzheimer’s Assn. of Orange County Memorial Walk.
The Alzheimer’s Assn. aims to raise a record $300,000.
Proceeds will support numerous free programs and services the Alzheimer’s Assn. provides to 40,000 Orange County residents. There will be 5K and one-mile walk courses, both wheelchair and baby stroller accessible. The course will start at the Western Digital Building at 14 Fortune Drive and wind through the Irvine Spectrum.
