Van Nuys 10, Reseda 0--Van Nuys held Reseda to 46 yards in the second half and caused four turnovers at Van Nuys.
Van Nuys quarterback Bobby Hernandez, who didn’t start because of an injured knee, came off the bench late in the first half to spark both scoring drives. With 1:10 left in the first half, Hernandez drove the Wolves 67 yards to the Regents’ 20-yard line, where Jose Arroyo kicked a 37-yard field goal as time ran out.
Hernandez, who completed eight of 15 passes for 134 yards, guided the Wolves (3-1) 68 yards to open the second half, capping the drive with a 25-yard pass to Harold Lepley, who made a diving catch in the end zone. Lepley caught three passes for 69 yards.
Eric Ceja of Reseda (1-3) intercepted two passes and had 87 return yards.
