Poly 19, Canoga Park 12--Steve Smith ran for 143 yards, including touchdowns of four and 15 yards, to help the Parrots (1-4, 1-1) at Poly.
Rud Rodriguez caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from Harold Berreondo with 7:31 remaining to give Poly a 13-12 lead, and Smith’s second touchdown helped secure the victory with 5:29 to play.
Mike Burnes had a 25-yard touchdown reception from Mike Spangle and also rushed for a two-yard touchdown for the Hunters (2-3, 0-2). Burnes finished with three receptions for 41 yards and Spangle completed 12 of 25 passes for 209 yards.
Victor Torres caught six passes for 124 yards for Canoga Park and also intercepted two passes.
