Glendale 23, Alhambra 18--David Pogosyan recovered a fumble by Alhambra running back Clifton Gatlin fumble at the Glendale three-yard line with under four minutes to play to preserve the victory at Glendale.
Glendale took a 7-0 lead when Angelo Walker returned the opening kickoff 89 yards for a touchdown. Walker caught touchdown passes of eight and 19 yards and finished with five receptions for 78 yards.
Gatlin ran for 81 yards and two touchdowns in the first half and finished with 102 yards in 18 carries.
Juan Hoos of Alhambra completed five of six passes for 90 yards and a touchdown in the second half.
Glendale was penalized 12 times for 120 yards.
