Nonprofit Groups to Form Strategic Plans
Seven local nonprofit organizations have been chosen to participate in a planning institute, and each will be given $5,000 to implement a strategic plan that will be developed through the institute.
The Ventura County Community Foundation’s Community Needs Response Fund made the selections.
Recipients are City Impact, a multicultural community organization serving county youth and their families; Ventura County Discovery Center, which will be a regional hands-on science center for all ages; and Tri-County Easter Seal Society, which helps disabled children and adults in Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.
Also chosen are El Centrito de la Colonia, a bilingual, bicultural community center in Oxnard; Gull Wings Children’s Museum in Oxnard; New West Symphony; and the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center Foundation.
