Southwest 30, Glendale 23--Quarterback Michael Frost threw a 36-yard touchdown pass to Chad Heydorff with 9:32 left in the second quarter to give Glendale a 20-0 lead, but the momentum turned on the extra-point attempt when the host Cougars blocked it and returned it for two points in a Western State Conference game.

Southwest (2-1) tied the score, 23-23, in the third quarter, before scoring the game-winning touchdown on an 11-yard pass from Hasayn Bailey to Lonnie Neal with 12:35 left in the fourth quarter.
